Installation of Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B) Out functionality using the BendixKing KT74 Transponder and qualified position sensor, in accordance with Master Drawing List, E-BK-13-0002, Rev. D, dated 03/19/2014, or later FAA approved revision.

1. The installer must determine if this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

2. The modified aircraft must be maintained in accordance with the ADS-B Out System Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, ADS-B Transmitter: BendixKing KT74 Transponder, Position Source: Freeflight Systems 1201 or Accord Technologies NexNav 21000 Mini GPS, E-BK-13-0008 Rev. IR, dated 03/20/2014, or later FAA approved revision.

3. The airplane flight manual supplement identified below must be maintained onboard the modified aircraft:

a. Airplane Flight Manual Supplement to the Aircraft Make Model (Select approved Make and Model from SA00765DE’s AML) Airplane Flight Manual, ADS-B Transmitter: BendixKing KT74 Transponder, Position Source: Freeflight System 1201 GPS/WAAS or Accord Technologies NexNav mini 21000, E-BK-13-0009, Rev. IR, dated March 14, 2014, or later FAA-approved revision.

4. This STC is limited to installations where the BendixKing KT74 Transponder is replacing a stand–alone transponder system. This STC is not applicable for aircraft that includes an existing remote -mount transponder that is integrated with and controlled by an electronic flight display system.

5. This installation does not include the following:

a. ADS-B In functionality

b. Heading interface

c. TCAS interface

6. A copy of this certificate, its continuation sheet, and the FAA-approved rotorcraft flight manual supplement per item number 3 above, must be maintained as part of the permanent records of the modified rotorcraft.

7. If the STC holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.

It has been determined that this modification is a No Acoustical Change per 14 CFR 21.93 (b).
