Installation of a Mid-Continent MD835( ) Lithium Ion Battery in accordance with Master Data List AM0229-DL02-00, specified on the attached FAA-Approved Model List (AML) issued 10 September 2010 or later FAA-approved revisions.

1. The STC is only applicable to aircraft with an existing FAA-approved installation of an L-3 Communications PS-835( ), PS-850( ), or PS-855( ) emergency power supply.

2. The MD835-1 replaces a PS-835A/B/C/D/G on aircraft not wired for an L-3 SI-100( ) module (static inverter) or an SC-841( ) module (5V adjustable DC output).

3. The MD835-2 replaces a PS-835E/F on aircraft not wired for an L-3 SI-100( ) or an SC-841( ) module.

This certificate and the supporting data which is th e basis for approval shall remain in effect until surrendered, suspended, revoked, or a termination date is otherwise established by the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration.

4. The MD835-5 replaces a PS-835A/B/C/D/G, PS-850A/B, or PS-855A/B/C/D on aircraft not wired for an L-3 SI-100( ) module.

5. An MD835-5 can replace an MD835-1.

6. The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

7. The Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA), document AM0229-IC01-00, Revision “A”, dated 10 January 2013 or later FAA-accepted revision is a required part of this STC.

8. A copy of the FAA-approved Airplane F light Manual Supplement (AFMS), document AM0229-FM01-00, Revision “A”, dated 21 February 2013, or later FAA-approved revision is required on board for operation of the modified aircraft.

9. A copy of this certificate and the FAA-approved AML must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft.

10. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.

11. Federal Aviation Administration Special Conditions Number 23-247-SC, dated August 09, 2010, is part of the certification basis for this STC.
