Description of Type Design Change: Installation of a 6.00-6 type III wheel and 6.00/7.00-6, 6-ply type III tire using a Cessna 310 nose fork and operated as a tail wheel on DHC-2 Series airplanes, in accordance with Tailwind Aviation, Inc., Master Data List MDL-001, Original Issue dated May 4, 2006, or later FAA approved revision.
1. Compatibility of this design change with other previously approved modifications must be determined by the installer. This design change has been shown to be compatible with Alaskan Bushwheel, Inc., STC SA01015SE.
2. A copy of this Certificate must be maintained as part of the permanent record of the modified aircraft.
3. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this Certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
4. This design change may be incorporated on surplus military Models L-20A, YL-20, and U-6A when the airplane has been converted to Model DHC-2 Mk. I in accordance with the requirements listed in Aircraft Specification No. A-806, Note 4.
