FAA Approved Flight Manual Supplement, Document No. SG-63-1-250, Revision IR, dated August 3, 2020, or later FAA approved revision is required for DHC-6-300 airplane models.

FAA Approved Flight Manual Supplement, Document No. SG-64-1-250, Revision IR, dated August 3, 2020, or later FAA approved revision is required for the DHC-6-400 airplane model.

The Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) are called out per IKHANA Aircraft Services Document No. SG-6-11-250, Revision NC, dated May 8, 2020, or later FAA accepted revision. Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, as applicable to this change in type design, be made available to the operator at the time the aircraft is returned to service.

This STC approval is limited to DHC-6-200 and DHC-6-300 airplanes with Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-27 or PT6A-34 engines and DHC-6-400 airplanes with Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-34 operating a 620 SHP minimum.

This STC has been shown to be compatible with IKHANA Group, Inc. STC No. SA02267LA, which approves DHC-6-300 and DHC-6-400 Landplanes to take off and land at a maximum weigh of 14,000 lb when operated under Restricted Category for the special purpose of forest and wildlife and conservation, aerial surveying, patrolling, weather control, carriage of cargo, or search and rescue.

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the 250 Amp Starter-Generators is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for the DHC-6 series airplanes is shown in TCDS A9EA for parts not changed or not affected by the change.

b. The certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the dated of application, April 28, 2020, is based upon 14 CFR part 23 as amended by Amendments 23-0, 23-7, 23-8, 23-26 and 23-50, and SFAR 23 as amended Amendment 1.

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for this modification was determined to be:
