Original Product--Type Certificate Number : 2A13 Make : Piper Model : PA-28-140; PA-28 -180 S/N 28-671 thru 28-1760 Description of Type Design Change:
Installation of Gomolzig Quietflight low noise silencer P/N PA-28-606503 in Piper Models PA-28-140 and PA-28-180 Serial Numbers 28-671 thru 28-1760 (single tailpipe configuration). Aircraft modification shall be performed in accordance with Gomolzig Quietflight Low Noise Silencer Kit “System Gomolzig” PA28-606503 Installation Instructions dated March 1994, or later FAA Approved revision.
Limitations and Conditions : This approval should not be extended to other aircraft of this model on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated, unless it is determined by the installer that the interrelationship between this change and any other previously approved modifications will produce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission. The requirements of Airworthiness Directive 70- 16-05 continue to apply to the modified aircraft. The modified aircraft shall be operated in accordance with Gomolzig Pilot’s Operating Handbook and FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual Supplement for Piper PA-28-140 Equipped with Gomolzig Silencer Kit PA28-606503 dated January 20, 2006 and maintained in accordance with Gomolzig Quietflight Low Noise Silencer Kit “System Gomolzig” PA28-606503 Installation Instructions dated March 1994, or later FAA Approved revisions. This STC was issued in accordance with 14 CFR 21.29 and was based upon a validation of the German LBA STC Number SA0536.
