208B Installation of a Soot Shield in accordance with (1) Master Data List 22R0149-00-02, Rev A, dated November 4, 2024, or later FAA approved revision. (2) Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) 22R0149-50-02, Rev C, dated August 8, 2024, or later FAA accepted revision. The ICA must be made available to the operator at the time of installation. The ICA and its contents must be incorporated into the operator's maintenance program. (3) Aircraft Flight Manual Supplements (AFMS) 22R0149-50-03, Rev IR, dated October 31, 2024, or later FAA approved revision. The AFMS must be carried in the aircraft during all flights.

(1) The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

(2) If the holder agrees to permit another person to use the certificate to alter the product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of that permission.

(3) This STC is applicable to Textron Aviation Inc, Model 208B S/N 208B0001 through 208B2196 and 208B2198 through 208B4999 with PT6A-114A series engine, and 208B2197 and 208B5000 and on with PT6A-140 Series engine.

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR § 21.115 and § 21.101, and the FAA policy for design changes that are identified as not significant in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for Textron Aviation Inc, Model 208B is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for parts not changed or not affected by the change is shown on TCDS A37CE.

b. The certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the reference application date, July 18, 2023, is based upon 14 CFR § 23 as amended by Amendments 23-1 through 23-28 except for those above amendment 23-28, listed below.
