1. Installation of non-hazard ice protection systems kits SMR9068-20, SMR9068-21, SMR9068-22, SMR9068-23, SMR9068-30, SMR9068-31, SMR9068-40, SMR9068-41, and SMR9068-50, on the Beechcraft Bonanza series aircraft in accordance with Installation Instructions as listed on Master Document List MDL-0069 Revision B dated April 23, 2014, or later FAA approved revision; and maintained in accordance with the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICAs) listed in the Limitations section of this STC.

1. A copy of this certificate must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft.

2. Flight into known icing is prohibited with this STC.

3. The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

4. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter a product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of that permission.

2. The following Airplane Flight Manual Supplement(s) (AFMS), or later FAA approved revisions must be carried on the airplane when the following kits are installed:

A. The following AFMS are required when SMR kits SMR9068-21 or SMR9068-23 is installed with noncontinuous timer option: 13-33-018, Rev. IR, dated April 30, 2014.

B. The following AFMS are required when SMR kits SMR9068-20 or SMR9068-22 is installed with continuous timer option: 13-33-108, Rev. IR, dated April 30, 2014.

C. The following AFMS are required when SMR kits SMR9068-30 or SMR9068-31 is installed with Electrothermal De-ice System for 3 Blade Propeller: 13-33-109, Rev. IR, dated April 30, 2014.

D. The following AFMS are required when SMR kits SMR9068-40 or SMR9068-41 is installed with Heated Windshield Panel System: 13-33-106, Rev. IR, dated April 30, 2014.

E. The following AFMS are required when SMR kit SMR9068-50 is installed with Ice Viewing Light System:

3. The following Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA), or later revisions, are required for this modification:

A. When kit SMR9068-20 or SMR9068-21 or SMR9068-22 or SMR9068-23 is installed: 13-33-097, Rev. 1, dated February 12, 2014;

B. When kit SMR9068-30 or SMR9068-31 is installed: 13-33-098, Rev. 1, dated February 12, 2014;

C. When kit SMR9068-40 or SMR9068-41 is installed: 13-33-099, Rev. 1, dated February 12, 2014;

D. When kit SMR9068-50 is installed: 13-33-100, Rev. 1, dated February 12, 2014;

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR § 21.115 and § 21.101, and the FAA policy for design changes that are identified as not significant in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the Beechcraft Bonanza Series aircraft is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for parts not changed or not affected by the change is shown on TCDS 3A15.

b. The modification certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the reference application date, January 18, 2013, is based upon CAR 3 as amended to CAR 3-8 and part 23 as amended by Amendment 23-62 as follows:
