DC-8-62 Description of Type Design Change: Seat mix change from charter all coach configuration of 204 passenger to 180 passenger all coach charter configuration. Installation in accordance with DAS-1-WE United Air Lines Drawing List No. 1140 dated October 15, 1982, or later FAA approved revisions.
Limitations and Conditions: The approval of this change in type design applies basically to DC-8-
62. This approval should not be extended to other specific aircraft of this model on which other previously approved modifications are incor porated unless it is determined that the interrelationship between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. This determination should include consideration of significant changes in weight distribution such as an increase in the fixed disposable weight in the fuselage. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder sh all give the other person written evidence of that permission.
This certificate and the supporting data, which is the basis for approval, shall remain in effect until surrendered, suspended, revoked or a termination date is otherwise established by the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration.
