DC-8-50, -61, -62 Description of Type Design Change: Provides for the interchangeability and installation of door mounted inflatable emergency slides in accordance with FAA Approved United Air Lines Drawing No. 15F-4593.
Limitations and Conditions: This STC does not constitute an appr oval of the light installation on the emergency evacuation slides, P/N 5196800 and 5216800 as required by §§ 25.812 or 121.310. This approval should not be extended to other specific ai rcraft of this model on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated, unless it is de termined that the inter-relationship between this change and any of those other previously approve d modifications will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. If the holder agr ees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
This certificate and the supporting data, which is the basis for approval, shall remain in effect until surrendered, suspended, revoked or a termination date is otherwise established by the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration.
