Original Product Type Certificate Number 4A25 Make : Douglas Model : DC-8-71, -71F, -72, -72F, -73, -73F Description of Type Design Change: Installation of a dual AiResearch GTCP85-98CK(D) Auxiliary Power Units (APU) in the forward baggage compartment in accordance with FAA approved Cammacorp Master Drawing List (MDL) number 83000, Revision “A”, dated June 18, 1985, or later FAA approved revisions.
FAA approved Airplane Flight Manual Supplement Camma corp Report Number 62.1, dated July 26, 1985, or later FAA approved revisions is required as part of this installation.
Limitations and Conditions: This approval is for APU ground operation only. The approval of the change in type design applies to the above-listed models onl y. This approval should not be extended to specific aircraft of these models on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined by the interrelationship between this cha nge and any of those other previously approved modifications will introduce no adverse e ffect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter th e product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
This certificate and the supporting data, which is the basis for approval, shall remain in effect until surrendered, suspended, revoked or a termination date is otherwise established by the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration.
