4A10 The Boeing Company DC-7, DC-7B, DC-7C Description of Type Design Change: Installation of 3000 gallon external retardant tanks under the fuselage at the wing center section. Modification is in accordance with the FAA sealed drawing list, loading is in accordance w ith the Aero Union airplane weight and balance loading schedule supplements, and operation of the aircraft is to be in accordance with the FAA approved Aero Union A irplane Flight Manual supplements, identified on page 3 with the appropriate serial numbers of the eligible aircraft. Later FAA approved revisions to the listed documents are applicable.

Limitations and Conditions: The approval of this change in type design applies basically to the DC-7, DC-7B, and DC-7C airplanes only. This approval should not be extended to other aircraft of this model on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined by the installer that the interrelationship between this change any of those other previously approved modification s will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. This determination should include consideration of significant changes in weight distribution such as an increase in the fixed disposable weight in the fuselage. If the holder ag rees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of the permission.
