747-222B Description of Type Design Change : Installation of an ARINC Communication Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) equipment in accordance w ith United Air Lines, DAS-1-WE, Drawing List No. 2731 dated March 27, 1987, or later FAA approved revisions.

Limitations and Conditions: The approval of this change in type design applies basically to the 747-222B only. This approval should not be ex tended to other aircraft of this model on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated , unless it is determined that the interrelationship between this change and any of those other previ ously approved modifications will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. Th is determination should in clude consideration of significant changes in weight distribution such as increase in the fixed disposable weight in the fuselage.

If the holder agrees to permit another person to use th is certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.

This certificate and the supporting data, which is the basis for approval, shall remain in effect until surrendered, suspended, revoked or a termination date is otherwise established by the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration.
