10555 Airport Drive Coeur d'Alene Airport Hayden Lake, ID 83835 Certifies that the change in the type design for the following product with the limitations and conditions therefor as specified hereon meets the airworthiness requirement's of Part 3 of the Civil Air Regulations, effective May 15, 1956.
Original Product -Type Certificate Number: A20SO Make: Piper Model: PA-31, PA-31-325, PA-31-350 Description of Type Design Change: Installation of Machen, Inc., intercooled engines as modified by Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SE3177NM in accordance with Machen, Inc., Report No. 87-1, or later FAA approved revision.
NOTE: There are no changes to the Flight Manual or any operating procedures with this installation.
Performance is equal to, or better than, the unmodified aircraft for all aircraft modified in accordance with this STC.
Limitations and Conditions: Approval of this change in type design applies to the above model aircraft only.
This approval should not be extended to other aircraft of these models on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined that the relationship between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications, including changes in type design, will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. A copy of this Certificate must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft.
If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
