DC-8-54 Series and DC-8-55 Series Description of Type Design Change : Installation of single or dual Litton LTN -72 INS in accordance with FAA sealed Litton Top Drawing 678278-18, revision “B,” or later FAA sealed revision.

Litton Airplane Flight Manual Supplement No. APD 1 -80 to DACO Airplane Flight Manual LB 31180, FAA approved on January 23, 1980, or later FAA approved revision, is required as part of this modification.

Limitations and Conditions : The approval of this change in type design applies basically to the above listed Aircraft Models only. This approval should not be extended to other aircraft of these models on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined by the installer that the interrelationship between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. A copy of this certificate must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft. If th e holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
