Description of the Type Design Change: Installation of Flight Dynamics (FD) Head Up Display Guidance System, in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) sealed FD Installation Drawing List, 9701-0380, Revision C, dated January 18, 1988, or later FAA-approved revision.
Limitations and Conditions: This change applies to the 727-200 with JT8D-17 and JT8D-17R engines. If any LRU or a sensor input of the HGS fails, the HGS may be disabled by pulling the HGS circuit breakers. Circuit breakers marked NCU and CDU shall be energized while ISA-1 and ISA-2 shall remain de-energized.
Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SA4163NM (RACAL FMS) and this STC are both needed to form a complete package.
If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
