Description of the Type Design Change: Fabrication and installation of Stoddard Aero Service Model 15 auxiliary fuel tank in the right wing per Stoddard Aero Service Drawing List No. 447, dated February 7, 1975, or later Federal Aviation Administration approved revision. Stoddard Aero Service Airplane Flight Manual Supplement dated August 6, 1971, is required with this installation.

Limitations and Conditions: The approval of this change in type design applies basically to Piper models PA-16 and PA-16S only. This approval should not be extended to other aircraft of this model on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined by the installer that the interrelationship between this change and any of those previously approved modifications will introduce no adverse effect on the airworthiness of that aircraft. This determination should include consideration of significant changes in weight distribution such as an increase in the fixed disposable weight in the fuselage.

If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
