Original Product -Type Certificate Number: A8EA Make: Piper Model: PA-31T, PA-31T1, A-31T2, excluding S/N 31T1-830401 thru 31T1-830403 and 31T1-1104004 thru 31T1-1104018 Description of Type Design Change: Option 1: Installation of modified ram air engine induction system in accordance with American Aviation, Inc., Model 60 Drawing List Rev. A, dated March 22, 1989, or later FAA approved revision. Option 2: This installation may be installed with the Ice Door Modification only, in accordance with American Aviation Model 60 Drawing List Rev. AD, dated April 21, 1993, of later FAA approved revision.
Limitations and Conditions: Approval of this change in type design applies to the above model aircraft only.
This approval should not be extended to other aircraft of these models on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined that the relationship between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications, including changes in type design, will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. A copy of this Certificate must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft.
If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
