Original Product Type Certificate Number: A6WE Make : McDonnell Douglas Model : DC-9-32 Description of Type Design Change: Modification of the existing mission communications system, consisting of the replacement of the two KW-7 Crypto units with one KG-84A crypto and associated control panels; replacement of the CMT-500 TTY terminal with a Grid Computer System and replacement of the existing modems, TE-204A-4, CV-786, 960U-1 with a TE-233P-7 modem in accordance with E-Systems Sealed Drawing List SDL 7389-1, Rev. A dated 08 June 1990 or later FAA approved data.

1. Compatibility of this design change with previously approved modifications must be determined by the installer.

2. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.

3. This approval is limited to the installation made in Douglas, DC-9-32, Serial No. 47670 (AFSN 73-1682) only.

4. When installed, airplanes with this STC are limited to operations excluding those of an Air Carrier. Specifically, no operations under 14 CFR 121, 14 CFR 129 or any foreign Air Carrier are permitted.
