Description of the Type Design Change: Install vortex generators on the wing and vertical tail surfaces and an increase in maximum takeoff weight, maximum zero fuel weight, and maximum ramp weight in accordance with Drawing List DL-402C and Installation Instructions II-402C, both revised July 24, 1992, or later FAA-approved revision.
Option: 1: No change in airspeeds; AFMS not requi red; no change in weights or center of gravity envelope.
Option 2: Change in airspeeds, maximum takeoff weight, zero fuel weight, ramp weight, center of gravity envelope; AFMS required.
*Includes 414A equipped with RAM engine and winglet installations per SA7463SW and SA4934SW, respectively.
Limitations and Conditions: Approval of this change in type design applies to the above aircraft only. The approval should not be extended to other aircraft on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined that the relationship between this change and any other previously approved modifications, including changes in type design, will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft. A copy of this certificate and FAA Approved Flight Manual Supplement (option 2 only) C402C-AFMS-1, Revision B for the 402C, and C414A-AFMS-1, Revision B, for the 414A, both dated August 19, 1996, must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft.
