This increased maximum allowable landing weight is one time only approval. The FAA approved Altair Holdings Supplement No. 1, dated September 16, 1994, or later FAA approved revision to the basic DC-8 Airplane Flight Manual DAC-33163 is required as a part of this approval. McDonnell Douglas DC-8-73/73F airplanes with a maximum landing weight of 275,000 Limitations and Conditions: The approval of this change in type design applies only to Ibs. This approval should not be extended to other aircraft of this model on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined by the installer that the interrelationship between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that aircraft.
