.- Maintainability of the High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) protection must be assured for the critical systems in accordance with DHC Report No. Rl 14-27, Revision D, dated May 5, 1992, of later FAA approved revision. For the DC-8-71/71F, FAA approved Airplane Flight Manual Supplement (AFMS) dated March 4, 1992, or later FAA approved revision is required. For the DC-8-73/73F, FAA approved Airplane Flight Manual Supplement (AFMS) dated May 29, 1992, or later FAA approved revision is required. Compatibility of this modification with previously installed equipment must be determined by installer.
