Description of Type Design Change: Replace the Lindstrand Balloons Ltd Basket/Burner system with the UltraMagic S.A.
Basket Model C-9, S/N C9/07; UltraMagic S.A. Burner Model MK-10, S/N 839, 840, 841, 842. Replace the Lindstrand Balloons Ltd fuel tanks with the UltraMagic S.A. type M-40 fuel tanks, S/Ns 0052, 0053, 0054, 6, 7, 8, 9, 40, 55, 56, 57, and 58. The UltraMagic S.A. Basket/Burner is installed via the standard Lindstrand Balloons Ltd carabiner (snaplink) attachments.
1. FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement, dated April 10, 2006, or later FAA approved revisions required. 2. This modified balloon is to be maintained in accordance with the latest revision of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) from Lindstrand Balloons Ltd (Envelope) and UltraMagic, S.A. (Basket, Burner, Fuel Tanks). 3. Descriptive data pertaining to this design change are considered inadequate for duplication in other products. This approval is limited to only the installation made in Lindstrand Balloons Ltd Model 240A, S/N 165, only. This STC does not permit manufacturing of parts for multiple installations
