Description of Type Design Change: Replace the Thunder & Colt Basket with the Cameron Balloons US Basket Model CB860, S/N 9598. Replace the Thunder & Colt fuel tanks with the UltraMagic S.A. type M-40 fuel tanks, S/Ns 0052, 0053, 0054, 6, 7, 8, 9, 40, 55, 56, 57, and 58. The Cameron Balloons US Basket is installed via the standard Thunder & Colt carabiner (snaplink) attachments.
1. FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement, dated April 10, 2006, or later FAA approved revisions required. 2. This modified balloon is to be maintained in accordance with the latest revision of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) from Thunder & Colt (Envelope, Burner), Cameron Balloons US (Basket), and UltraMagic, S.A. (Fuel Tanks). 3. Descriptive data pertaining to this design change are considered inadequate for duplication in other products. This approval is limited to only the installation made in Cameron Balloons Ltd Model Colt 240A, S/N 567, only. This STC does not permit manufacturing of parts for multiple installations.
