Description of Type Design Change: Replace the Lindstrand Balloons Ltd Basket/Burner system with the UltraMagic S.A.
Basket Model C-9, S/N C9/06; UltraMagic S.A. Burner Model MK-10, S/Ns 720, 721, 722, 723. Replace the Lindstrand Balloons Ltd fuel tanks with the UltraMagic S.A. type M-40 fuel tanks, S/Ns 06, 07, 08, and 09. The UltraMagic S.A. Basket/Burner is installed via the standard Lindstrand Balloons Ltd carabiner (snaplink) attachments.
1. FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement dated January 21, 2010, is required. 2. This modified balloon is to be maintained in accordance with the latest revision of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) from Lindstrand Balloons Ltd (Envelope) and UltraMagic, S.A. (Basket, Burner, Fuel Tanks). 3. Descriptive data pertaining to this design change are considered inadequate for duplication in other products. This approval is limited to only the installation made in Lindstrand Balloons Ltd Model 260A, Serial No. 5443.
