Description of Type Design Change: Replace the Lindstrand Balloons Ltd Basket/Burner system and fuel tanks with the Sundance Balloons (FireFly) Basket Model 5.9B, S/N B116; the Sundance Balloons (FireFly) Burner Model T3-017, S/N 1734 and the Sundance Balloons (FireFly) Burner Model F1 Mirage, S/N 600 or 605; and Sundance Balloons (FireFly) fuel tanks, Part Number 3229-AF, S/Ns 52908J and 65316J, and Part Number 3035-1, S/Ns 27552J, 36033J, 37103J, 35407J, and 15711J. Replace the existing instruments with the Flytec Model Number 3040, S/N 11835/6837. The Sundance Balloons (FireFly) Basket/Burner is installed via the standard Lindstrand Balloons carabiner (snaplink) attachments as specified in the FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement dated March 8, 2010
1. FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement dated March 8, 2010, is required. 2. Maximum Gross Weight is limited to 3,856 lbs. 3. Descriptive data pertaining to this design change are considered inadequate for duplication in other products. This approval is limited to only the installation made in Lindstrand Balloons Ltd Model 180A, Serial No. 5453.
