Description of Type Design Change: Replace the Lindstrand Balloons Ltd Basket/Burner system and fuel tanks with the FireFly Balloons Basket Model 3.9A1, S/N A198; the FireFly Balloons Burner Model T3-017, S/N 688; and FireFly Balloons fuel tanks, Part Number 3035, S/Ns 11920J, 12798J, and 31723J, and Part Number 3229, S/N 23473J. The FireFly Balloons Basket/Burner is installed via the standard Lindstrand Balloons carabiner (snaplink) attachments as specified in the FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement dated August 16, 2012.
1. FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement dated August 16, 2012, is required. 2. This modified balloon is to be maintained in accordance with the latest revision of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) from Lindstrand Balloons Ltd (Envelope) and FireFly (Balloon Works) (Basket, Burner, Fuel Tanks) . You cannot use descriptive data about this design change duplicate other products. This approval is limited to only the installation made in Lindstrand Balloons Ltd Model 90A, Serial No. 5521, only. This STC does not permit manufacturing of parts for multiple installations.
