Description of Type Design Change: Replace the Aerostar International Basket/Burner system with the Lindstrand Balloons USA Basket, Part Number BA-007-A-001, S/N 1075; the Thunder & Colt Burner, Model Colt MK III, S/N 2366. Replace the Aerostar International fuel tanks with the Thunder & Colt Fuel Tanks, Part Number T&C V30, S/Ns 2557, 2558, 2559, and 1627. The Lindstrand Balloons USA Basket and Thunder & Colt Burner are installed in the same manner as the Aerostar International Basket/Burner.
1. FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement dated July 27, 2015, is required. 2. This modified balloon is to be maintained in accordance with the latest revision of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) from Aerostar International (Envelope), Lindstrand Balloons USA (Basket), and Thunder & Colt (Burner and Fuel Tanks). 3. You cannot use descriptive data about this design change to duplicate other products. This approval is limited to only the installation made in Aerostar International Model RXS-8, Serial No. RXS8-3106. This STC does not permit manufacturing of parts for multiple installations.
