Description of Type Design Change: Replace the Aerostar International Basket/Burner system with the Cameron Balloons Basket, Part Number CB301C-4, S/N 9465; the Cameron Balloons Burner, Part Number CB579-M1, S/N S5148 – S5149. Replace the Aerostar International fuel tanks with the Cameron Balloons Fuel Tanks, Part Number CBUS1050D, S/Ns 230171, 230177, and 230202. The Cameron Balloons Basket/Burner are installed in the same manner as the Aerostar International Basket/Burner.
1. FAA Approved Balloon Flight Manual Supplement dated July 12, 2016, is required. 2. This modified balloon is to be maintained in accordance with the latest revision of the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) from Aerostar International (Envelope) and Cameron Balloons (Basket, Burner, and Fuel Tanks) 3. You cannot use descriptive data about this design change to duplicate other products. This approval is limited to only the installation made in Aerostar International Model RX-8, Serial No. RX8-3171.
This STC does not permit manufacturing of parts for multiple installations.
