Modification of engine to replace contact points and condenser controlled Bendix Scintilla WL-7A battery timer (distributor) with an electronically controlled WL-7A-M battery timer. Data required: Documents as listed in Radial Engines Ltd. Master Document List Report REL1009-4, Revision (IR), dated March 26, 2011 (which includes Radial Engines Ltd, Instruction for Continued Airworthiness REL1009-8, Revision (IR), dated March 26, 2011) as listed on AML No. SA01652WI Revision -, or later FAA Approved revisions.

1. Approval of this type design is limited to Bendix Scin tilla WL-7A battery timers installed only in the above listed engine models.

2. Compatibility of this design change with previously approved modifications must be determined by the installer.

3. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
