STC for the conversion of Continental Motors Inc. (CMI) models IO-520-D, -E, -F, or –L, to the respective Vitatoe Aviation IO-550- D-AP, -E-AP, -F-AP or –L-AP which have the same rating and limitations as the CMI models IO-550-D, -E, -F, or –L, respectively.
Conversion of the models IO-520-D, -E, -F or –L to the models IO-550-D-AP, -E-AP, -F-AP or –L-AP shall be performed in accordance with Vitatoe Aviation Report AP2005-03 Master Parts List, Revision A dated 24 August 2017 and Vitatoe Aviation Report AP1005-08 Assembly Instructions, Revision A dated 24 August 2017 or later approved revisions.
This approval should not be extended to other engines of these models on which other previously approved mod ification are incorporated, unless it is determined by the installer that the interrelationship between this change and any other previousl y approved modifications will produce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that engine. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certification to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission. The models IO- 550-D-AP, -E-AP, -F-AP or –L-AP shall be maintained in accordance with Vitatoe Aviation Report AP1005-13, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, revision A, dated 24 August 2017 or later FAA Accepted.
