Description of the Type Design Change: Installation of Croman 10,000 lbs. cargo sling system and associated fuselage mounting hardpoints in accordance with Croman Corporation Master Drawing List as shown on FAA Approved Model List No. SH5125NM, dated April 6, 2007, or later FAA-approved revision.

Installation of this STC does not change the maximum internal or external gross weights of the helicopter.

Limitations and Conditions: Approval of this change in type design applies to the rotorcraft listed on AML No.

SH5125NM only, which are equipped with the components listed on the Continuation Sheet, page 3, of this STC.

This approval should not be extended to rotorcraft of these models on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined by the installer that the relationship between thi s change and any of those other previously approved modifications, including changes in type design, will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that rotorcraft.

If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.

Limitations and Conditions continued: Rotorcraft modified in accordance with this STC must be operated in accordance with an FAA approved copy of Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement as shown on AML SH5125NM, dated April 6, 2007, or later FAA approved revision. A copy of this certificate, the AML, and FAA approved Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement must be maintained as part of the permanent records of the modified helicopter.

This Croman cargo sling can only be installed on Sikorsky Model S-61N helicopters equipped with the following:

Mechanical Release and Stowage:

As shown in Reference Document DM0555-5 for STC SH5125NM, Revision I/R, dated January 28, 2014, or later FAA-approved revision

Electrical Release:

As shown in Reference Document DM0555-5 for STC SH5125NM, Revision I/R, dated January 28, 2014, or later FAA-approved revision

Backup Structure for Hardpoints:

As shown on bulkhead drawing S6120-72233-131 for station 290 and bulkhead drawing S6120-73120-106 for station 243.5. This backup structure may not be present in S-61N helicopters with serial numbers prior to 61465 and would have to be installed prior to attachment of the Croman cargo sling.

This Croman cargo sling may be installed on Sikorsky Model S-61N helicopters equipped with the McAllister engineering enterprises model ME612 weighing system as shown on drawing 612-00000. This weighing system is optional to the Croman cargo sling.
