1. Installation of Alternative Inflation System for Emergency Flotation System must be in accordance with Saab AB Master Data List Doc. No. TDM21-04-MDL, Issue D, dated November 7, 2022, or later EASA approved revisions.

Description of Type Design Change (continued):
2. Maintenance must be in accordance with Saab AB Instructions for Continued Airworthiness Doc. No. TDM21-04-4-ICA, Rev. C, dated July 7, 2022, or later EASA accepted revisions.
2. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use the certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
3. Maintenance must be in accordance with the "Airworthiness Limitations" section of Saab AB Instructions for Continued Airworthiness referenced under the Description of the Type Design section.
4. This STC is applicable to all serial numbers for this Make/Model rotorcraft.
Certification Basis:
Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for design changes that are identified as not significant in FAA Order 8110.48A, the certification basis for Leonardo S.p.a. Model A109A, A109A II, A109C, A109K2, and A109E rotorcraft as follows:
a. The type certification basis for the rotorcraft is shown on TCDS H7EU for parts not changed or not affected by the change.
b. The type certification basis for the rotorcraft is shown on TCDS H7EU for parts changed or affected by the change.
