1. Installation of the Advanced Lithium Ion Battery Replacement of Ni-Cad Battery on AS350B, B1, B2, B3, BA, and D models must be in accordance with Vertical Flight Solutions Installation Drawing VFS19-003-53-000 Revision A, dated May 24, 2024, or later Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) approved revision.

2. Installation of the Advanced Lithium Ion Battery Replacement of Ni-Cad Battery on EC130B4 and T2 models must be in accordance with Vertical Flight Solutions Installation Drawing VFS24-130-53-000 Revision NC, dated July 1, 2024, or later TCCA approved revision.

3. Operation of the AS350B, B1, B2, B3, BA, and D models must be in accordance with Vertical Flight Solutions Flight Manual Supplement FMS-VFS19-003 Revision A, dated December 02, 2022, or later TCCA approved revision.

4. Operation of the EC130B4 and T2 models must be in accordance with Vertical Flight Solutions Flight Manual Supplement FMS-VFS24-130 Revision A, dated September 25, 2024, or later TCCA approved revision.

5. Maintenance of the AS350B, B1, B2, B3, BA, and D models must be in accordance with Vertical Flight Solutions Instructions for Continued Airworthiness ICA-VFS19-003 Revision B, dated May 24, 2024, or later TCCA accepted revision.

6. Maintenance of the EC130B4 and T2 models must be in accordance with Vertical Flight Solutions Instructions for Continued Airworthiness ICA-VFS24-130 Revision NC, dated July 1, 2024, or later TCCA accepted revision.

2. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter a product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of that permission.

3. This STC is applicable to all serial numbers for these Make-Models.

4. Operate in accordance with the Limitations section of the Flight Manual Supplement identified in the Description of Type Design Change section of this STC.

5. This approval is limited to the following configurations only:

- for AS350 series – TB20 battery in the baggage compartment and tailboom locations;

– TB30 battery in the tailboom location;

- for EC130 series – TB20 battery in the tailboom location;

– TB30 battery not approved.

Based on title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for design changes that are identified as not significant in FAA Order 8110.48, the type certification basis for the modified Airbus Helicopters Models AS350B, AS350B1, AS350B2, AS350B3, AS350BA, AS350D, EC130B4 and EC130T2 is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for Airbus Helicopters Models AS350B, AS350B1, AS350B2, AS350B3, AS350BA, AS350D, EC130B4 and EC130T2 as shown on Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS) H9EU for parts not changed or not affected by the change.

b. The type certification basis for Airbus Helicopters Models AS350B, AS350B1, AS350B2, AS350B3, AS350BA, AS350D, EC130B4 and EC130T2 as shown on TCDS H9EU for parts changed or affected by the change with the following exceptions:
