1. All original product models, as a prerequisite to this STC, must be modified by Bell Textron Inc.

Service Instruction (SI) BHT-212-SI-99 Rev. 0 (Original), Dated 07/15/2021, Titled “BELL 212

SERVICE INSTRUCTION FOR KAFLEX DRIVE SHAFT FIREWALL MODIFICATION KIT”. This SI installs Bell Firewall Tunnel Modification Kit P/N 212-704-167-101.

2. All original product models, as a prerequisite to this STC, must be modified by Pratt & Whitney Canada Service Bulletin (SB) No. 5412R3 (Rev. No. 3), Dated 10/28/2020, Titled “TURBOSHAFT ENGINE REDUCTION GEARBOX ASSEMBLY – REPLACEMENT OF”.

This SB replaces the PT6T-3/-3B engine reduction gearbox with the PT6T-3D reduction gearbox (P/N A3117280-01), which is required for this STC.

3. Maintenance must be in accordance with Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA), Document number, KAM-3587-ICA-001 Rev NC, dated December 09, 2020, or later FAA accepted revision.

The ICA must be made available to the operator at the time of installation.

4. Compatibility of this design with previously approved modifications must be determined by the installer. Refer to FAA Advisory Circular (AC) 20-188.
