1.(cont. from p.1)...the type design of this STC may affect the compatibility with NVG and may require a re-evaluation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ACO. Once the aircraft is modified with this STC, and future modification may also affect compatibility with NVG and may require re-evaluation by the FAA ACO.

2. The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

3. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter a product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of that permission.

4. A copy of this certificate must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified rotorcraft.

5. FAA approved Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement (RFMS) 080-0338, Rev IR, dated April 19, 2006, or later FAA approved revision is required.

6. FAA accepted Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) 050-0399, Rev IR, dated February 18, 2006, FAA accepted February 23, 2006, or later FAA accepted revision, is required for this installation.

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH Model MBB-BK 117 C-2 installation of NVG Compatible modifications is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for Airbus Helicopters Deutschland GmbH Model MBB-BK 117 C-2 is shown on TCDS H13EU for parts not changed or not affected by the change.

b. The certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the reference date of application, December 28, 2005, is based upon part 29 as amended by Amendment 29-47.

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant/not significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for this modification was determined to be:
