Description of the Type Design Change: Fabrication and installation of BLR Aerospace (BLR) tail boom mounted strakes in accordance with the applicable BLR master drawing list (MDL) and applicable installation manual as listed on AML SR00798SE.
Limitations and Conditions: Approval of this change in type design applies to the rotorcraft models specified on AML SR00798SE only, that are equipped with standard tail booms and empennages. This approval should not be extended to other rotorcraft of these models on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined by the installer, that the relationship between this change and any other previously approved modifications, including changes in type design, will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that rotorcraft. Rotorcraft modified by this certificate must be operated in accordance with an FAA approved copy of the applicable BLR Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplements (RFMS) as listed on AML SR00798SE. A copy of this certificate, AML SR00798SE, and the applicable RFMS must be maintained as part of the permanent records of the modified rotorcraft.
