Description of the Type Design Change:

Certification of Honeywell MK XXI Helicopter Terrain Awareness and Warning System (HTAWS) in accordance with Cert Works Document No. CW0603-1012, Master Installation Drawing List (MIDL), Airbus MBB-BK 117 MK XXI HTAWS, Revision IR dated 7/12/2016, or later FAA approved revision. Refer to the configuration control drawing listed in CW0603-1012 Section 2: Configurations for required Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplements and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness applicable to the modification configuration.

1. The application of this STC requires previously installed and approved equipment. Refer to the STC installation data defined in CW0603-1012, Master Installation Drawing List (MIDL), Airbus MBB-BK 117 MK XXI HTAWS, for equipment requirements.

2. The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

3. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter a product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of that permission.
