FAA Approved Flight Manual Supplement, Document No. 10BL207300004, Revision B dated 5/15/2020, FAA approved 6/16/2020 or later FAA approved revision, is required for this installation. Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA), Document No. 10BL207200003, Revision A dated 5/21/2020, FAA accepted 6/16/2020, or later FAA accepted revision is required to be made available at installation.

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the Bell 412EP installation of the Hoist Installation is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for Bell 412EP series rotorcraft is shown on TCDS H4SW for parts not changed or not affected by the change.

b. The certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the reference date of application, 7/11/2017, is based upon 14 CFR Part 29, effective February 1, 1965 plus Amendments 29-1 through 29-2, and additional requirements at later amendment level per the TCDS H4SW. Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for this modification was determined to be:
