2. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter a product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of that permission.

3. Additional FAA approval and substantiation is required for installation of powered electrical or hydraulically driven equipment utilizing this installation.

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the Bell 412EP installation of the Auxiliary Power Installation is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for Bell 412EP series rotorcraft is shown on TCDS H4SW for parts not changed or not affected by the change.

b. The certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the reference date of application, 10/10/2017, is based upon 14 CFR Part 29, effective February 1, 1965 plus Amendments 29-1 through 29-2, and additional requirements at later amendment level per the TCDS H4SW. Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for this modification was determined to be:
