Description of Type Design Change: Fabrication of Simplex Model 323 Fire Attack System in accordance with Simplex Master Drawing List specified on Approved Model List (AML) No. SR01135SE, or later Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved revision; and installation of this system in accordance with Simplex Installation Instructions Document specified on Approved Model List (AML) No. SR01135SE, or later FAA approved revision. This modification must be maintained in accordance with Simplex Maintenance Manual Document specified on Approved Model List (AML) No. SR01135SE, or later FAA approved revision.

Limitations and Conditions: Approval of this change in type design applies to the rotorcraft model listed above only. The rotorcraft must be equipped with Simplex Model 923 cargo mirrors or other FAA approved mirror that allows the pilot to view the hover pump during operation. This approval should not be extended to other rotorcraft of this model on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated unless it is determined that the relationship between this change and any other previously approved modifications, including changes in type design, will introduce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that helicopter. Rotorcraft modified in accordance with this STC must be operated in accordance with an FAA approved copy of the Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement specified on AML No. SR01135SE, or later FAA approved revision. A copy of this Certificate, FAA approved RFMS, and Maintenance Manual must be maintained as part of the permanent record of the modified If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
