This STC applies to the aircraft models listed on the attached AML and only to the specific serial numbers listed on the applicable ASU MDL listed on the attached AML, or later FAA-approved revisions. These rotorcraft employ Night Vision Imaging System lighting, commonly named NVIS, that has been certified to ensure the aircraft is compatible with Night Vision Goggles (NVG). For this reason, interior and exterior modifications that add or change systems that emit or reflect light have the potential to alter or change the NVIS lighting vs. NVG compatibility. Compatibility of this design with subsequent modifications must be determined by the installer. The determination of compatibility with modifications that emit or reflect light must include an engineering compatibility evaluation approved by an aircraft certification authority. A copy of this certificate and the applicable FAA-approved RFMS as listed on the attached AML, or later FAA-approved revisions, must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified aircraft.
If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter a product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of that permission.
