Description of the Type Design Change: Installation of Helicopter Transport Services, LLC (HTS) lightweight firefighting refill pump, Part Number HTS2-PUMP, in accordance with Installation Instructions Document INI-HTS2-PUMP, Revision A, dated March 2, 2012, or later FAA-approved revision. Manufactured in accordance with Master Document List MDL-HTS2-PUMP, Revision C, dated March 27, 2012, or later FAA-approved revision. This modification must be inspected and maintained in accordance with the FAA-accepted HTS Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) Document ICA-HTS2-PUMP, Revision IR, dated January 31, 2012, or later FAA-accepted revision.
Limitations and Conditions: Approval of this change in type design applies to the make and model helicopter listed on the AML equipped with Simplex Fire Fighting System Model 314 Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SR00931SE installed. This approval should not be extended to other rotorcraft of this make and model on which other modifications are incorporated unless it is determined by the installer that the relationship between this change and any of those other previously approved modifications, including changes in type design, will introduce no adverse effects upon the airworthiness of that rotorcraft. Models of rotorcraft listed on the AML modified in accordance with this STC must be operated in accordance with a copy of FAA-approved Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement (RFMS) RFMS-HTS2-PUMP, Revision I/R, FAA-approved April 2, 2012, or later FAA-approved revision. A copy of this certificate, FAA-approved RFMS, and FAA-accepted ICA must be maintained as part of the permanent record for the modified rotorcraft.
If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
