Description of the Type Design Change: Installation of a Supplemental Lighting System in accordance with Master Drawing List MDL-S92A004-3, Revision A, dated June 27, 2017, or later Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved revision. Maintained in accordance with Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) Document ICA-S92A004-4, Revision IR, dated May 9, 2017, or later FAA-accepted revision.
Limitations and Conditions: This STC applies to the models listed above and only to the specific serial numbers listed on the ASU MDL listed above. This rotorcraft employs Night Vision Imaging System lighting, commonly named NVIS,that has been certified to ensure the rotorcraft is compatible with Night Vision Goggles (NVG). For this reason, interior and exterior modifications that add or change systems that emit or reflect light have the potential to alter or change the NVIS lighting vs. NVG compatibility. Compatibility of this design with subsequent modifications must be determined by the installer. The determination of compatibility with modifications that emit or reflect light may require a re-evaluation by an FAA aircraft certification office. A copy of this certificate, the ICA, and the Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement FMS-S92A004-6, Revision IR, dated May 9, 2017, FAA-approved July 7, 2017, or later FAA-approved revision, must be maintained as part of the permanent records for the modified rotorcraft.
If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
