1. Installation of EMS equipment and side facing seat bench on the right side of the cabin in accordance with Mecaer Aviation Group Design Data Sets DDS-14-005, Issue A, dated October 16, 2014 and DDS-14-049, Issue A, dated December 30, 2014.

2. Mecaer Aviation Group Instruction for Continued Airworthiness, Owner's Manual 6E4MWNM-2-1, Revision 5, dated April 10, 2015 or later EASA accepted revisions is required for this modification.

3. Mecaer Aviation Group Rotorcraft Flight Manual Supplement 6E4MRFM-1-1, Revision 4, dated March 5, 2015 or later EASA approved revisions is required for this modification.

1. The Installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

2. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certification to alter a product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of this permission.

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the Airbus Helicopters Deutchland GmbH (AHD) Model MBB-BK 117 D-2, is as follows:

a) The type certification basis for the AHD Model MBB-BK 117 D-2 as shown on the FAA Type Certificate Data Sheet H13EU for parts not changed or not affected by the change.

b) The type certification basis for the AHD Model MBB-BK 117 D-2 as shown on the FAA Type Certificate Data Sheet H13EU for parts changed or affected by the change with the following additional requirement:

i) Equivalent Level of Safety (ELOS) to the requirements of 14 CFR § 29.807(a)(4) at Amendment 29-30, Passenger Emergency Exits per ELOS Memo No. ST08145NY-R-SE-1, dated March 23, 2016.
