Description of Type Design Change: Installation of L-3 Communications Micro Quick Access Recorder (QAR) that records the Flight Data Recorder echo line on flash memory; QAR data can be downloaded via the USB port, or the QAR unit can be removed for flight data analysis. This installation will be in accordance with Skybooks, Inc. Master Drawing List AA-14002, No Revision, dated June 6, 2014, or later FAA approved revisions.
Limitations and Conditions: "For maintenance and inspections, apply Skybooks, Inc. Instructions for Continued Airworthiness AA-14003, No Revision, dated June 10, 2014, or later FAA accepted revisions. This approval should not be extended to other aircraft of this model on which other previously approved modifications are incorporated, unless it is determined by the installer that interrelationship between this change and any other previously approved modifications will produce no adverse effect upon the airworthiness of that airplane. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.” …
