1. Installation of RMCI Inc. Expandable Rotorcraft Diagnostic System (XRDS) in accordance with Sterling Helicopter Master Drawing List as listed on FAA Approved Model List (AML) No. SR04842NY.

2. Maintenance to be performed in accordance with Sterling Helicopter Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) as listed on FAA Approved Model List (AML) No. SR04842NY.

1. Approval of this change in type design applies to aircraft listed on AML SR04842NY only. The installer must determine whether this design change is compatilbe with previoulsy approved modifications.

2. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter a product, the holder must give this person written evidence of that permission. 3. A copy of this certificate, AML SR04842NY, and the applicable ICA must be maintained as part of the permanent records of the modified aircraft.

4. Data collected by this system cannot be used to revise, after, or supersede any maintenance intervals or procedures prescribed in the ICAs. This STC cannot be used to obtain airworthiness approval for rotorcraft Health Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) with maintenance credit validation.

Certification Basis:

Based on 14 CFR 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the FAA certification bases for the aircraft listed on this AML is as follows:

(a) The Type Certification basis for areas that have not been altered or impacted by this modification remain in accordance with the aircraft's relevant Type Certificate Data Sheet (TCDS)
