ST00120MC Description of Type Design Change (continued from page 1):

1. Installations are in accordance with Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) Master Drawing List (MDL), Document Number MDL-0215-00-9302, Revision D, dated November 17, 2014, and FAA approved January 6, 2015, or later FAA approved revision.

2. Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Document 0215-00-9304, Revision B, titled: "Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) for the Antennas, Antenna Provisions, External Stores, and Mission Interior for the Sensor Test Bed Program,” dated October 1, 2014, FAA accepted December 19, 2014 or later FAA accepted revision is required for this installation and shall be made available to the operator at the time of this installation for incorporation into the operator’s maintenance program.

3. Document 0215-00-9307, Revision D, dated 1 October 2014 ─ FAA approved Airplane Flight Manual Supplement, Revision A, dated December 19, 2014 or later FAA approved ─ shall be made available to the operator at the time of this installation for incorporation into the operator’s flight manual.

4. Document 0215-00-9346, Revision D, dated 23 October 2014 ─ FAA approved Weight and Balance Manual Supplement, Revision A, dated December 19, 2014 or later FAA approved revision ─ shall be made available to the operator at the time of this installation for incorporation into the operator’s flight manual.

Limitations and Conditions (continued from page 1):

3. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter a product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of that permission.

4. This design approval is limited to government/military use only.

5. Installation of sponsons or sponsons with external stores is not approved under this STC. The FAA has not certified the equipment for which these provisions are intended. You must get additional FAA approval to install this equipment. The FAA must evaluate the installation to ensure it complies with the applicable airworthiness standards.

6. Stowage of loose cargo and baggage is prohibited in the main cabin area.

Certification Basis:

ST00120MC Based on 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA policy for significant changes in FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for the Model 328-100 Mod 20 to Sensor Test Bed are as follows:

a. The type certification basis for Model 328-100 Mod 20 series baseline aircraft is shown on TCDS A45NM, Revision 7, 14 CFR Part 25 effective February 1, 1965, including Amendments 25-1 through 25-61, plus Amendments 25-62, 25-63, and 25-64, added to the Certification Basis by Dornier, with the exception of Sections 25.21(b) and 25.205 (removed from part 25 by Amendment 25-72) for components and areas not changed or not affected by the change.

b. The certification basis for parts changed or affected by the change since the reference date of application, May 10, 2012, is based upon 14 CFR §§ 21.115 and 21.101, and the FAA Order 8110.48, the certification basis for this modification was determined to be:
