1. Installation of a Cabin air exhaust muffler, to reduce this noise to a more comfortable level by installing a valve cap and sound damping system, must be in accordance with DOA 21 Ltd. Master Drawing List Document No. D21.MDL- 0003, Issue P3, dated April 12, 2023, or later EASA approved revisions.

Description of Type Design Change (continued):
2. Aircraft is to be maintained in accordance with DOA 21 Ltd. Instructions for Continued Airworthiness Including Aircraft Maintenance Manual Supplement Document No. D21.AMMS-0005, Issue 2, dated March 23, 2023, or later EASA accepted revisions.
2. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use the certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
3. This STC is applicable to all serial numbers for this Make-Model.
4. Airbus Service Bulletin BD500-215006 – Environmental Control – Cooling – Introduction of a Water-Activated Check Valve with a Housing needs to be installed prior to the installation of this Muffler STC.
5. Aircraft is to be maintained in accordance with the "Airworthiness Limitations" section of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness referenced under description of type design change section of this STC.
Certification Basis:
Based on 14 CFR §21.115 and §21.101, and the FAA policy for changes that are not significant in FAA Order 8110.48A, the certification basis for this modification are as follows:
a. The type certification basis for the Airbus Canada Limited Partnership BD-500-1A10 aircraft is as shown on TCDS T00008NY for parts not changed or not affected by the change.
b. The type certification basis for the Airbus Canada Limited Partnership BD-500-1A10 aircraft is shown on TCDS T00008NY for parts changed or affected by the change.
