*for certification basis see TCDS A22WE Original Product Type Certificate Number: A22WE Make: Boeing Model: MD-11 Series Description of Type Design Change: Installation of Aircraft Communications, Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) in accordance with FAA Approved Teledyne Controls' Master Data List No. MDL 2231500-17B, Revision (-), dated May 7, 1997, or later FAA approved revisions. Teledyne Controls' FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual Report No. TDY-ACARS-MD11-BR-1 dated July 23, 1997, or later FAA approved revisions is required as part of this installation.
Limitations and Conditions: The approval of this change in type design applies basically to the above-noted airplane model series only. This installation should not be incorporated in any aircraft unless it is determined that the interrelationship between this installation and any previously approved configuration will not introduce any adverse effect upon the airworthiness of the aircraft. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter the product, the holder shall give the other person written evidence of that permission.
