1. Installation of the Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) II Version 7.1 and Elementary Surveillance (ELS) Transponder Upgrade must be in accordance with Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) approved Genesys Certification Services Inc.

Engineering Order A114430 Issue C, TCCA approved on January 6, 2020 or later TCCA approved revisions.

2. Operation of the TCAS II Version 7.1 and ELS Transponder Upgrade must be in accordance with TCCA approved Genesys Certification Services Inc. Airplane Flight Manual Supplement A114601 Issue C, TCCA approved on January 6, 2020 or later TCCA approved revisions.

1. The installer must determine whether this design change is compatible with previously approved modifications.

2. If the holder agrees to permit another person to use this certificate to alter a product, the holder must give the other person written evidence of that permission.

3. Maintenance of the TCAS II Version 7.1 and ELS Transponder Upgrade must be in accordance with TCCA accepted Genesys Certification Services Inc. Instructions for Continued Airworthiness A114600 Issue C, dated June 14, 2019 or later TCCA accepted revisions.

Certification Basis Based on 14 CFR § 21.115 and § 21.101, and the FAA policy for design changes that are identified as not significant in FAA Order 8110.48, the type certification basis for Bombardier Models DHC-8-100 Series, DHC-8-200 Series, and DHC-8-300 Series is as follows:

a. The type certification basis for Bombardier Models DHC-8-100 Series, DHC-8-200 Series, and DHC-8-300 Series as shown on Type Certificate Data Sheets (TCDS) A13NM for parts not changed or not affected by the change.

b. The type certification basis for Bombardier Models DHC-8-100 Series, DHC-8-200 Series, and DHC-8-300 Series for parts changed or affected by the change is:

• 14 CFR Part 25 including Amendments 25-1 through 25-66 with additions and exceptions as contained in TCDS A13NM.

Note: This STC does not require a revised Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).
